2nd annual Interlake Job & Career Fair was a great
success once again! This year the SDCLC hosted
a combination of 62 exhibitors, with representing Employers,
Educational Organizations and Service / Employment Support
The Fair was
held on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 and was open from
9:30 am to 7 pm at the Selkirk Recreation Complex Banquet
Room and foyer. The onsite food vendor this year
was Boston Pizza who delivered fresh food throughout
the day, and our fresh coffee was supplied by Coffee
News. Once again we had free bus service to and
from the fair by Selkirk's very own Beaver Bus Lines.
This one day
event was designed to present the employment, training
and service program available to the current and future
workforce of the Interlake Region. The event was
fully funded by the Province of Manitoba, Government
